How NOT To Skyrocket Your Mobile Strategy? [Infographic]

June 16, 2017

When mobile-first indexing rose and shone last November, it was a wake-up call for many. The importance of mobile optimization hit home and now businesses are increasingly stumbling over their attempts to make their websites as mobile-optimized as possible. Needless to say, this has had a lot of money, time and effort wasted. The concept of mobile optimization is not a cut-and-dry one-size-fits-all thing.

That being said, there are some things that you simply can’t avoid when marketing yourself on the web these days, regardless of the platform. The first is – content strategy. No, it’s not because we are biased as an SEO business. The reason that the maxim “Content is king” is so worn out is because it really is. You want your content to speak to your customers in a way that satisfies their needs. How does that relate with mobile? Users have different journeys depending on the platform – take that into account if you want user experience to set you apart from your competition.

Another point that is imminent if you want to position yourself high in SERPs is localization. It’s only logical if you want to optimize for mobile – mobile users perform searches on the go and want answers that they can act on in the moment.

Mobile ads also got touched on in this infographic. If you’d like more detail on why exactly mobile ads need a specific approach, check out our post on mobile ads’ makeover.

So, here’s the infographic. By the way, we are hoping you’re not reading it on your mobile, as chunky visuals and formats got their share of attention in this overview of mobile optimization mistakes. We are guilty as charged!
