Slow Lead Conversions May Be Sabotaging Your Business
Leads are the lifeblood of every business, so it’s crucial to optimize all aspects of your sales funnel to make your customer journey as frictionless as possible. Unfortunately, the research conducted by a leading SaaS Entrepreneur & Speaker, Aaron Weiche, found that many businesses – including many top-ranking companies – don’t take proper care of their leads.
Weiche’s findings showed that 4.8% of the tested websites had broken or poorly designed contact forms, while 42.6% of businesses rarely or never replied to the messages they received via their forms. According to this study, the ones that do reply tend to take 17 hours and 49 minutes on average to do so, by which time it’s likely that the prospective customers have already moved on. Harvard Business Review says that organizations that contact a lead within the first hour are 7 times more likely to qualify the prospect than organizations that respond in two hours.
The main takeaway is that speed and convenience are essential when it comes to converting a lead into a client or customer. Businesses should make sure their websites are designed and built by experienced web design and development teams that have a long track record of creating modern, user-friendly websites. For optimal results, it’s a good idea to hire an assistant who will respond to leads even after business hours or at least have an AI chatbot that takes queries and assures leads they will be contacted the next working day.
